God of love and mercy,
Who is holy and just—
Why does it seem, O Lord,
So hard for us to trust?

In a God who is faithful
And proves to be enough,
Who will never let us down
When the going gets rough

Because you have told us, Lord
So many times before,
To just put our trust in you,
For you alone are Lord

For you hold us so tightly
And keep us safe from harm—
Like a mother with her baby,
We're cradled in your arms

We know that you are faithful
To the promises you've made
So, we can trust you'll be with us
And that your love never fades.
