Lord, life can be so very hard,
Filled with much uncertainty
We cry out to you to be released
And look forward to eternity
Our flesh groans with mournful cries,
"We can't take it anymore",
Slowly within we begin to die,
Revive us again, O Lord
And let us soar as eagles do,
Vibrant and alive again
With your burning fire in our souls,
Help us press on until the end
For we long to be refreshed, O Lord,
Restored in your embrace,
Knowing that as you revive our souls,
You cover us with your grace.
