When our hope dwindles away
The heart grows slowly ill,
But it is a tree of life
When the desires are fulfilled
Don't ever despise the word
Or the counsel of the Lord,
But obey all His commands
And receive His due reward
For the teaching of the wise
Is like a fountain of life,
Escaping the snares of death,
And becoming truly wise.
