Devotional: The One Who Truly Knows Us
Christian Devotion on God knowing us intimately
The Lord is good,
a strength and stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows [He recognizes, cares for, and understands fully] those who
take refuge and trust in Him. - Nahum 1:7 (AMP)
The Lord is full of goodness. He is a wealth
of everything good. He is totally worthy of our trust in times of trouble and difficulties.
He knows us well. He knows and
cares about us, about our situations and how we are affected by the things that come into our lives, and He doesn't
leave us alone to deal with it by ourselves.
We can be confident in this,
that God sees the struggles we face, He recognises them, and understands the pain and anxiety we experience. He understands
fully our every uncertainty, our every confusing moment and our every difficult situation, even better than we do! He
even knows and cares about the unanswered questions we have tucked away in our hearts. And even though we may not fully
understand, nor make sense of it all, we can trust the One who does. We can find refuge in the One who sees the bigger
picture. We can fully rest in His embrace knowing that He's got this!
Our heavenly Father is the only
sure thing that is stable and dependable—a strong tower in a world full of troubles, difficulties and pain. He is our
strength, and He is our stronghold where we can find refuge and His sustaining peace.
It's such a comfort to know that God
sees us, and that He knows us intimately. Nothing we go through could ever surprise Him. He knows the beginning to the
end. We can be encouraged by the fact that He is there walking with us through everything we'll ever face in life.
This is a truth we can hold on to and remember in those moments of struggle, doubt, confusion and uncertainty.
