Life's Mountains, Valleys and Rivers

When your life seems so very dark
And your way is so unsure
When you can't see the road ahead,
Lift your eyes up to the Lord

For even in the darkest moments
The night can shine as day,
And if you put your hand in His,
He will gladly show the way

Although your life can shine brightly,
Sometimes it's dark and grey,
And other times it's hard to see
On a dismal, cloudy day

But even though the way before you
Has mountains you must climb
And valleys that you must go through
And rivers that ebb and wind

Don't ever stop and ask yourself
If the struggle is worthwhile,
Just rest in the Lord's loving arms
And His approving smile

Those deep, dark and lonely valleys
You find you must go through,
May not seem so deep and dark
When your Father walks it too

And every river that you cross
No matter how deep or wide,
Your Heavenly Father goes with you,
He is always by your side

And even the largest mountain
You feel you can never climb,
Remember God is guiding you
One faith-filled step at a time.
