Devotional: In Christ, We Are - Accepted
Christian Devotion about Who we are in Christ - Accepted
To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. - Ephesians 1:6 (NKJV)
God loves and accepts us no matter how we may have messed up our lives in the past. Because of His grace and favour, which He has blessed us with, we are accepted. There is nothing we can do to make ourselves more acceptable to God. Nothing! God takes us as we are—warts and all—and transforms us. Jesus Christ made that possible for all of us.
God will, in no way, turn away anyone who comes to Him, but with open arms, He receives us—and always will. John 6:37 says, "All that My Father gives Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, never reject anyone who follows Me]" (AMP). It's not in God's nature to reject anyone, because He longs for all to come to Him (2 Peter 3:9 NKJV).
You may have felt unaccepted your whole life and you may even be feeling that way right now, but I want to encourage you today with the truth of who you are, which is: you have been and always will be totally accepted by God.
Pause for a moment and meditate on this giving thanks to the Father for His amazing grace which He has freely given and in which you are accepted.

For just as through one man's disobedience [his failure to hear, his carelessness] the many were made sinners, so through the obedience of the one Man the many will be made righteous and acceptable to God and brought into right standing with Him. - Romans 5:19 (AMP)
