Devotional: Christ is Victorious!
Christian Devotion on Christ being greater than the enemy
Little children (believers, dear
ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because
He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind]. - 1 John 4:4 (AMP)
We have already overcome because
of the victory we have in Jesus Christ—and we will always be overcomers, victorious and conquerors in Christ Jesus
because Jesus is greater than Satan. Jesus is victorious, Satan is defeated!
We belong to the Mighty One who saves. We belong to the One who has already conquered death and the grave. We belong to the One who
leads us in a triumphant victory procession (as trophies of Christ's victory). We belong to the One who is the Resurrection and the
Life. Satan will always remain defeated, and his acts of evil destruction will always be swallowed up in Christ's resurrection
victory. Christ crushes and abolishes sin and death for those in Christ Jesus, because greater is He who is within
us than he who is in the world.
All who come to Jesus and have received
Him as Lord and Saviour, no longer carry defeat, but share in Christ's victory as a conqueror. We no longer give in
to defeat but stand in Christ as a victor.
There is so much 'anti-Christ
ideology' in our world these days—more so now than ever! It's almost like it's the 'norm' for the majority in society, and if you stand up
for the truth of the gospel in any area, you are treated with contempt. It seems that a lot of society just goes along
with the flow, not really with any real understanding or even being in full agreement, but only because they don't want to
be seen as going against the social current—having more of a stick with the majority viewpoint! This is a real battle for Christians. It takes
a lot of courage to stand up for the truth in a world so devoid of it.
Remember, greater is He who is
in you than he who is in the world—and you can be assured that Jesus is always with you and walks with you.
